Unless you own a kick ass Pentium II you need to convert your MP3's to wave format fisrt. This is because the MP3s have to be uncompressed to be recorded to Audio CD and the CDR needs a constant data stream. If the data stream is upset your Blank CD will become unusable.

If you first convert to wave the whole process can be done on a 486 PC quite easily. Remember that an MP3 when uncompressed is about 12 times bigger so you will need at least 700Mb of free disk space.

To convert files from MP3 to Wave you can use a program such as Music Match Jukebox which will convert even using the shareware version.

You can also use MMJB to record the wave files to Audio CD if you purchase the program. I prefer to use PTS Audio CD MP3 Studio to convert from wave to Audio CD as it has the best results.

Don't forget to purchase the software if you find it useful to allow good software companies to produce more neat stuff. Don't go and download a crack from Astalavista to make the shareware version the full Version.
